CORPORATE STRATEGY - Developed a Strategic Plan for a Wildlife Conservation NGO.
Worked with management to get commitment and buy-in to the process, timing and identify participants for
input. Developed a ‘briefing book’ on the current state of the organization. Facilitated workshops to help
the strategy team identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, formulate vision, mission,
guiding principles, goals, objectives, positioning statement, strategies, and action plans and develop a media strategy and

R&D / COMMERCIAL DECISION GATES - Led the strategic planning process for an development-stage immuno-oncology asset through key decision points and for ad-hoc planning in response to program events. Facilitated input from development team functional leads to define and articulate development options, assess process, timelines, cost, risk and expected target product profile, and present recommendations to product development review board.
PORTFOLIO REVIEW PROCESS - Developed NPV and Risk Adjusted P&L valuation models for annual review of oncology programs. Analyzed development and commercialization cost, risk diversification and productivity index to proritize porfolio invesement. Provided input to standardize review methodology across assets and therapeutic areas.
CORPORATE GOVERNANCE - Created training presentation on methodologies and advantages of reporting Good Corporate Citizenship for ICSA - The Chartered Governance Institute professional development event.
SOCIAL IMPACT METRICS - Identified and standardized company social impact reporting metrics to Gobal Impact Investment Network guidelines and incorporated capture of impact metrics into accounting system for periodic reporting alongside Financial reports.
FINANCIAL POLICIES & PROCEDURES / ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS -
Evaluated accounting system and made recommendations on improvements in internal
controls, financial procedures, and management accounting reporting. Developed a revised set of financial
policies and procedures, budget forecast, and delivered a current set of
management accounts for the fiscal year to date, along with quarterly and annual management accounting reporting templates including Budgets and Reporting (Actual vs Forecast),
Cashflow Statements, and Income Analysis.
DUE DILIGENCE - Managed data requests for due diligence, created diligence room, monitored access and content, compiled cross-functional evaluation team feedback, authored diligence report and presented diligence recommendations and risks to senior managment.
COMPANY VALUATION - Company valuation for a management buy-out and investor expansion plan for an East African hotel chain. Reviewed hotel valuation methodologies with management (sales comparison, cost of replacement, income capitalization dicounted cash flow - leveraged and unleveraged, band of investment) aligned on management valuation approach and delivered sales comparison and
income capitalization valuation (simplified DCF and risk-adjusted DCF).
